KPV — dosage, half-life & reference guide
Healing & recovery peptide · also known as Lys-Pro-Val, α-MSH tripeptide
One of the smallest bioactive peptides — just three amino acids. KPV is a powerful inflammation regulator that blocks the NF-κB pathway, your body's master switch for producing inflammatory signals. Unlike steroids, it calms inflammation without suppressing your immune system. Especially valued for gut health and skin conditions.
Commonly-researched dose ranges
KPV is commonly researched at 100–300 mcg, daily, by SubQ injection, Oral. These are reference ranges from the literature and community use, not a prescription.
Half-life
Estimated half-life: Very short; oral route bypasses rapid degradation. See how it accumulates in the half-life calculator.
Safety & interactions
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH and acts on melanocortin receptors / the NF-kB pathway without stimulating pigmentation. Preclinical studies (colitis/IBD and skin-inflammation models) reported minimal adverse effects with no LD50 identified up to 100 mg/kg in rodents, but zero published human safety data exists for KPV by any route. Community use reports it as well tolerated with occasional mild injection-site reactions. Treat the safety picture as preclinical-only and discuss with your clinician.
