GHK-Cu — dosage, half-life & reference guide
Healing & recovery peptide · also known as Copper Peptide, GHK-Copper, Tripeptide-1
A copper-binding peptide naturally present in your blood, though levels drop significantly with age. GHK-Cu stimulates collagen and elastin production, provides antioxidant protection, and supports skin firmness and wound healing. It's the go-to peptide for skin quality and anti-aging from the inside out.
Commonly-researched dose ranges
GHK-Cu is commonly researched at 1–2 mg, daily, by SubQ injection, Topical application, IM injection. These are reference ranges from the literature and community use, not a prescription.
Half-life
Estimated half-life: ~30 min in plasma; tissue retention longer. See how it accumulates in the half-life calculator.
Safety & interactions
GHK-Cu has a four-decade safety record in topical/cosmetic and wound-healing use and is broadly described as well tolerated; topical irritation (redness, tingling, transient burning) is reported in roughly 5-10% of new users. Injectable use most commonly causes injection-site reactions (redness, swelling, transient pain), which can be more pronounced than other peptides because of the copper component. Because it carries copper, a theoretical copper-load consideration exists, and published caution applies to people with copper-metabolism disorders such as Wilson's disease. Discuss with your clinician before injectable use.
