How we research our guides
Every guide on this site is signed "PepVault research". It is the same work behind the app's peptide library: a question people ask, answered from the studies themselves, with every claim traceable to where it came from.
Primary sources first
A guide is built from primary sources: the published studies on PubMed, trial records on ClinicalTrials.gov (where we also check who sponsors each record), drug labels on DailyMed, and EMA and MHRA documents. We don't source facts from other blogs, forums or vendor pages. Each number in a guide carries a small marker that links to its source in the list at the end.
Every claim checked at its source
Before a guide is published, each number and claim in it is checked against the source it cites. A claim the source doesn't support is corrected or removed. A result from cells or animals names the species. The strength of the evidence is stated once, plainly: randomized trials, smaller clinical studies, animal research or user reports.
What people who use a compound describe is useful, so we include it, labelled "Commonly reported" and kept apart from what the studies show. Guides don't make cure claims and don't give anyone a dose to take: dose figures are what studies and labels describe, not a prescription. Common side effects get calm, practical help.
Drafts are AI-assisted
We use AI to help gather the research and write the first draft. The draft is then checked claim by claim against its sources, as above, and publishing is a manual step: no guide goes live automatically.
What "last reviewed" means
The date under each answer is the day the guide's claims were last checked against their sources. When new data arrives on a compound, such as a trial readout or a label change, the guide is checked again and the date moves with it.
Not medical advice
The guides are reference material, not medical advice. Talk to a qualified clinician before you start, stop or change anything. Found something wrong? Email feedback@pepvault.app and we'll check it and correct it. More about PepVault is on the about page.
