Peptide reference library
Peptide comparisons, side by side
Two compounds at a time: how each works, its half-life, how often it’s taken, its studied range, side effects and evidence. Every fact comes from the same checked library entries as the compound pages.

Healing & recovery
- BPC-157 vs TB-500 BPC-157 is a peptide derived from a protective protein in human gastric juice; in animal studies it speeds the repair of tendons, ligaments, muscle and gut lining, partly by growing new blood vessels.
- KPV vs BPC-157 KPV is three amino acids from the tail end of α-MSH; in cell and mouse studies it enters cells and blocks NF-κB, the master switch for inflammatory signals.
- GHK-Cu vs BPC-157 GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide found naturally in human plasma and widely used in skincare; in cell and animal studies it boosts collagen and speeds wound repair.
- TB-500 vs Thymosin Beta-4 Thymosin beta-4 is the whole protein; TB-500 is a 7-amino-acid fragment of it (residues 17–23), the stretch that binds actin.
- AOD-9604 vs Fragment 176-191 Fragment 176-191 is a stabilized fragment of growth hormone (amino acids 176-191), and it is usually the same peptide as AOD-9604, which is hGH 177-191 with an added tyrosine.
Growth hormone
- CJC-1295 no DAC vs Ipamorelin They raise growth hormone through different receptors: CJC-1295 no DAC is a GHRH analogue that amplifies each GH pulse, and ipamorelin is a ghrelin receptor agonist that triggers it, without raising cortisol in animal studies.
- CJC-1295 with DAC vs CJC-1295 no DAC Both are GHRH analogues; the difference is the DAC (Drug Affinity Complex), which stretches CJC-1295’s half-life to about a week.
- Sermorelin vs Tesamorelin Both are synthetic GHRH analogues that stimulate the body’s own growth hormone release, and both are short-lived: about 11–12 minutes for sermorelin and 8–11 for tesamorelin.
- Ipamorelin vs Sermorelin Both prompt the pituitary to release its own growth hormone, through different receptors: sermorelin is a copy of the first 29 amino acids of GHRH, and ipamorelin is a ghrelin receptor agonist that released GH without raising cortisol in animal studies.
- Ipamorelin vs MK-677 Both raise growth hormone through the ghrelin receptor, but ipamorelin is injected 2–3 times a day, and MK-677 is a small molecule (not a peptide) taken by mouth once a day.
Metabolic & GLP-1
- Retatrutide vs Tirzepatide Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist; retatrutide adds a third target, the glucagon receptor, whose arm adds energy expenditure (shown so far in mice).
- Semaglutide vs Tirzepatide Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist; tirzepatide activates the GLP-1 receptor and the GIP receptor too.
- Retatrutide vs Semaglutide Semaglutide activates one receptor, GLP-1; retatrutide activates three, GLP-1, GIP and glucagon, and its glucagon arm adds energy expenditure (shown so far in mice).
- Mazdutide vs Tirzepatide Both are weekly dual agonists built around the GLP-1 receptor, and the second target differs: glucagon for mazdutide, GIP for tirzepatide.
- Survodutide vs Retatrutide Survodutide activates two receptors, GLP-1 and glucagon; retatrutide activates those two and GIP as well.
- Orforglipron vs Semaglutide Both act on the GLP-1 receptor, but orforglipron is a small molecule (not a peptide) taken as a daily tablet, with or without food, while semaglutide is given as a weekly shot.
- Cagrilintide vs Semaglutide They act on different hormones: cagrilintide is a long-acting analogue of amylin, the fullness hormone the pancreas releases with insulin, and semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist.
- Liraglutide vs Semaglutide Both are GLP-1 receptor agonists, and liraglutide is semaglutide’s predecessor: its half-life of about 13 hours means a daily shot, where semaglutide’s of about a week allows one a week.
