PT-141 — dosage, half-life & reference guide
Sexual health peptide · also known as Bremelanotide, PT141, Vyleesi
The only FDA-approved drug that increases sexual desire through the central nervous system rather than blood flow. PT-141 activates melanocortin receptors in the hypothalamus to boost arousal and libido in both men and women. It's a per-dose compound — you take it 1-2 hours before desired effect. Nausea is common, and frequent use can cause skin darkening.
Commonly-researched dose ranges
PT-141 is commonly researched at 0.5–2 mg, as needed, 1–2 hours before, by SubQ injection. These are reference ranges from the literature and community use, not a prescription.
Half-life
Estimated half-life: ~17 hours. See how it accumulates in the half-life calculator.
Safety & interactions
