A peptide analog of CNTF (a nerve growth factor) that promotes neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity. P21 is more stable than the parent protein and can cross the blood-brain barrier via nasal delivery. It may increase BDNF levels, supporting new neural connections and cognitive enhancement. Very limited human data.
