Vesugen Dosage, half-life & reference guide
Also known as KED peptide · Lys-Glu-Asp · Vezugen
A short peptide from the Russian bioregulator program behind Epitalon and Pinealon, which its developers describe as a bioregulator for the blood-vessel wall. In cell studies it supported the renewal of the cells that line blood vessels, and in mice bred to develop Alzheimer's it restored the brain's stable synapse spines. Small Russian studies with no placebo group report better blood flow in the legs and the penis after a course, and better biological-age markers, on its own and with Pinealon.

How it works.
A tripeptide, Lys-Glu-Asp (KED), from the Russian bioregulator program of Vladimir Khavinson's St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, the group behind Epitalon and Pinealon. Its developers found it in their peptide extract of cattle blood vessels and describe it as the bioregulator of the vessel wall: in their scheme each short peptide regulates one tissue, by binding DNA and changing which genes are read. In cultures of the cells that line blood vessels it raised the markers of cell renewal and SIRT1 and brought endothelin-1, which rises in atherosclerosis, back toward normal; in mice bred to develop Alzheimer's disease, daily injections restored the stable "mushroom" spines where neurons connect. Its human data are a handful of small Russian studies with no placebo group.
Commonly reported: User reports are few; those shared describe more stamina and stronger pumps in training over a few weeks.

Changes come over weeks
Commonly reported: where users notice anything, it builds over weeks rather than days; the few who share their runs describe more stamina and stronger pumps in training. A line each day on your training and energy gives you something honest to compare.

Where the studies measured blood flow
Two small Russian studies measured blood flow before and after a course of Vesugen and reported it better, in the legs after artery surgery and in the penis in erectile dysfunction. Neither had a comparison group, so how much of the change is Vesugen's is unknown.
The science
Kitachov 2013: 41 patients operated on for chronic lower-limb ischemia, with blood flow better on clinical and ultrasound measures after a course of Vesugen alone. Kitachev 2014: 41 patients with erectile dysfunction from narrowed arteries, with penile artery blood flow better after Vesugen alone. Both compared each patient before and after, come from one St. Petersburg surgical group (the second lists Khavinson as an author) and are in Russian.

Courses spaced months apart
A capsule course ends at about a month, and its developers' label repeats it after 3–6 months. In the Russian studies of biological age, Vesugen did best with Pinealon beside it.
The science
Meshchaninov 2015: 32 adults aged 41–83 with several chronic conditions, given Vesugen or Pinealon; both improved biological-age measures, Vesugen more, and the authors also measured pro-oxidant activity and fewer CD34+ blood-forming stem cells. Myakotnykh 2016: among 110 people comparing several anti-aging methods, Vesugen and Pinealon together moved biological age the most. Neither used a placebo.

What Vesugen is built on
A tripeptide from the same Russian bioregulator program as Epitalon and Pinealon, which its developers describe as the vessel wall's own regulator. Its evidence is cell studies, one mouse study and a handful of small Russian human studies with no placebo group; almost all of the research is Russian, much of it by its developers.
The science
Its developers found KED in their peptide extract of cattle blood vessels (Khavinson 2021). In vessel-lining cells modelling atherosclerosis it brought endothelin-1 back toward normal and raised SIRT1 (Kozlov 2016), and it raised the renewal marker Ki-67 in vessel cell cultures from young and old animals (Khavinson 2014). In 5xFAD mice, daily injections restored mushroom spines on hippocampal neurons without changing their overall density (Khavinson 2021). In people: blood flow in two before-and-after reports of 41 patients (Kitachov 2013; Kitachev 2014) and biological-age markers in 32 adults (Meshchaninov 2015). No trial is registered on ClinicalTrials.gov.

With PinealonCommunity
Paired with Pinealon, as in the Russian studies
Vesugen and Pinealon are the bioregulator pair Russian studies have given together, one for the vessels and one for the brain; Epitalon often joins them in community stacks. None of those studies had a placebo group.
The science
Among 110 people comparing anti-aging methods, Vesugen with Pinealon moved biological age the most (Myakotnykh 2016); in truck drivers, the peptides improved stress and mood measures, most when both were given together (Bashkireva 2012). In mice bred to develop Alzheimer's disease, both protected synapse spines, in different ways (Khavinson 2021).

Day 1 is the day you start it.
No controlled study of Vesugen exists. Timelines are what users commonly report; the mechanism comes from cell and mouse studies by its developers, and the human data are small Russian studies with no placebo group.
Preliminary research
A typical run.
Run notes
- Cycle
- Run in courses rather than continuously, like the other bioregulators. Its developers' capsules are labelled for a one-month course, repeated after 3–6 months; injected courses commonly run 10–20 days, a few times a year. No study has tested a course length.Community practice — opinions vary. Not a clinical recommendation.
- Timing
- No timing has been studied. Its developers' capsules are taken with meals.
- Routes
- SubQ injection, Oral capsules
- Stacks
- Pinealon, Epitalon
Safety.
Common side effects
- Injection-site sting or itch
- Mild stomach upset (capsules)
Interactions
No interaction studies exist. Its developers market it for blood-vessel conditions, high blood pressure among them, so blood-pressure, heart and blood-thinning medicines are worth raising with your clinician.
Safety notes
No dedicated safety study exists, and nothing is known about long-term use. In one small study of Vesugen and Pinealon, the authors also measured pro-oxidant activity and fewer CD34+ blood-forming stem cells in the blood, which they read as damped blood-cell production. Discuss with your clinician before use, particularly during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with a heart or circulation condition.
