# GLP-1 titration schedule planner

See the standard dose-escalation ramp for semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide, week by week from the starting dose up to maintenance. Adjust the pace to plan and track your own schedule.

Semaglutide at 4 weeks per step: 5 steps, about 16 weeks to the 2.4 mg maintenance dose.

Reference ramp · Semaglutide

1. 1 Weeks 1–4 0.25 mg
2. 2 Weeks 5–8 0.5 mg
3. 3 Weeks 9–12 1 mg
4. 4 Weeks 13–16 1.7 mg
5. 5 Week 17+ **· maintenance** 2.4 mg

**~16 weeks** to reach the maintenance dose at this pace.

The standard weekly semaglutide escalation cited in the approved labeling: 0.25 → 0.5 → 1 → 1.7 → 2.4 mg, typically four weeks at each step before the next increase.

## Why GLP-1 doses are titrated

GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP compounds are escalated gradually rather than started at the maintenance dose. Stepping up slowly is the standard approach in the clinical literature for letting tolerability — particularly gastrointestinal side effects — settle between increases.

The ramps above are the commonly-referenced step ladders, not a prescription. The right starting dose, pace, and ceiling are individual — review any titration with a qualified clinician before changing it, and track what you actually take so you can see how each step lands.

Example: at 4 weeks per step, the semaglutide ramp is 0.25 mg in weeks 1–4, 0.5 mg in weeks 5–8, 1 mg in weeks 9–12 and 1.7 mg in weeks 13–16, then the 2.4 mg maintenance dose from week 17.

The tirzepatide ladder is 2.5 → 5 → 7.5 → 10 → 12.5 → 15 mg, typically 4 weeks at each step.
