# Terms of use & disclaimer

Please read before using PepVault

## Research purposes only

PepVault is a personal tracking and reference tool designed for research and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device, not a clinical tool, and does not provide medical advice of any kind.

## Not medical advice

All compound reference data in PepVault is sourced from publicly available community research and anecdotal user reports. It has not been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by any medical authority, regulatory body, or healthcare institution. Nothing in PepVault should be interpreted as a recommendation to use any compound.

## Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for any decisions you make regarding your health, supplementation, or use of research compounds. PepVault does not recommend, endorse, or encourage the use of any peptide or research compound. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new protocol.

## Data privacy

Your data is stored securely in your private account. We do not sell your personal health data or share it for advertising. We do not transmit it to any third party except the service providers listed below, which operate the app on our behalf.

## Service providers

These providers process data on our behalf to run PepVault: Supabase (your account, the data you log and your photos — database, sign-in and storage); Microsoft (OneDrive, where our backups are kept); Apple (App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple and push notifications); RevenueCat (your subscription status, linked to your account id); PostHog (product analytics and crash reports — usage events and session replays with all text and inputs masked, linked to an account id rather than your email); Vercel (hosting and traffic analytics for the pepvault.app website); Resend (account and summary emails, and the weekly peptide briefing); Anthropic (the AI features described below); and Google (Goal you's image, described below). If you connect Apple Health, Whoop or Oura, PepVault imports the data you allow into your account. The iPhone app also includes Meta's SDK to measure our ads: it tells Meta about installs, app opens, sign-ups, subscription offers, trials, purchases and a first saved protocol. It does not collect your advertising identifier and never receives what you log in PepVault. Privacy questions and requests: feedback@pepvault.app.

## Android waitlist

If you leave your email on our website to hear when PepVault comes to Android, we use it only to send that one email, and delete it afterwards.

## The weekly peptide briefing

If you sign up for the weekly peptide briefing on our website, we keep your email address, the page you signed up on, when you confirmed and the wording you agreed to, and use them only to send the briefing. Nothing is sent until you confirm by the link we email you. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe; after it, we keep the address only on our do-not-email list, so it never gets the briefing again unless you sign up and confirm once more. The sign-up doesn't create a PepVault account and isn't linked to one. To have the address deleted, write to feedback@pepvault.app.

## AI features and data processing

PepVault's AI features (PepTalk, bloodwork commentary, meal and training suggestions, the daily synthesis) send the relevant parts of your logged data — which may include protocol, doses, bloodwork values, body and weight data, and wearable metrics — to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. The photo features send the photo you choose: a meal, a bloodwork panel, or your vial labels for Shelf Scan. Anthropic processes this data as our subprocessor solely to return the result and does not use it to train its models. Goal you has Anthropic check the progress photo you choose, then sends it with your goal weight to Google's Gemini, which returns an image of how you might look at that weight; Google processes them as our subprocessor solely to return the image and does not use them to train its models. The image is stored in your private account until you delete it. AI output is informational reference only, never medical advice, and can be incomplete or wrong — verify anything that matters with a qualified clinician.

## Deleting your account

You can delete your account and everything you logged at any time from Profile → Your data → Delete account, or from the subscription screen. Deletion removes them from the app at once and can't be undone; export your data first if you want a copy. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

## No liability

PepVault and its developers accept no liability for any outcomes, health effects, or consequences arising from use of information contained within this application. Use entirely at your own risk.

## Compound legality

The legal status of research compounds varies by country. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the laws in your jurisdiction. PepVault takes no responsibility for legal compliance related to any compounds you choose to track or research.
