# CJC-1295 with DAC Dosage, half-life & reference guide

Also known as CJC-1295 DAC · DAC:GRF

A long-acting growth hormone releasing hormone analogue: the DAC modification extends its half-life to about a week, so one weekly injection keeps GH and IGF-1 raised, lifting baseline GH while natural pulses continue.

- **Studied range:** 1–2 mg
- **How often:** Weekly
- **Half-life:** ~6–8 days
- **Evidence:** Moderate
- **Route:** SubQ injection

Studied in research — not a recommendation.

## How it works.

GHRH analogue with Drug Affinity Complex that extends half-life to about a week. In human studies one injection raised baseline GH and IGF-1 for days while natural GH pulses continued; recovery, body-composition and sleep effects are extrapolated from GH physiology and user reports. Weekly dosing protocol.

**Commonly reported:** Water retention and puffiness, sometimes tingling hands, over the first weeks, and tiredness in the days after the shot. Its human data are two small phase 1 studies; it was never approved.

### Half-life & active level

The half-life of CJC-1295 with DAC is ~6–8 days (measured in healthy adults: 5.8–8.1 days).

Here's how a typical CJC-1295 with DAC schedule accumulates over four weeks (one-compartment estimate).

## Where CJC-1295 with DAC works.

- ### Appetite & metabolism

**Reported by users.** Commonly reported in this window: measurable fat loss and lean gains.
- ### Muscle

**Reported by users.** Commonly reported: faster recovery, fuller-looking skin and a shift in body composition, with water retention usually settled by now.
- ### Energy & longevity

**In people.** In human studies one injection raised baseline GH and IGF-1 for days while natural GH pulses continued.

## Week by week.

What to expect in the first 8 weeks

- **Onset:** 1–3 weeks
- **Peak effect:** 8–12 weeks
- **Duration:** 8–12 weeks

1. Day 1–14 Clinical

   ### GH is building; water retention is common

The DAC modification means one injection keeps GH raised for about a week. Commonly reported: water retention in the first couple of weeks (don't mistake it for fat gain) and deeper sleep.

   The science

CJC-1295 DAC binds to serum albumin via the Drug Affinity Complex, giving a half-life of about 6–8 days. In phase 1 trials one injection raised IGF-1 1.5- to 3-fold for 9–11 days (Teichman 2006). The water retention is GH-mediated sodium retention in the kidneys, a common and usually transient effect.

2. Day 14–42 Community

   ### Recovery and skin quality are changing

Weeks 2 to 6 are where the DAC variant's weekly convenience shows. Commonly reported: faster recovery, fuller-looking skin and a shift in body composition, with water retention usually settled by now.

   The science

CJC-1295 DAC raised baseline (trough) GH about 7.5-fold while the frequency and size of natural GH pulses stayed the same (Ionescu 2006); that raised baseline drives the sustained IGF-1 rise. Body-composition effects haven't been measured in trials.

3. Day 42–84 Clinical

   ### Peak recomp — watch for carpal tunnel

Commonly reported in this window: measurable fat loss and lean gains. Watch for carpal tunnel symptoms (tingling or numbness in the hands), which come from GH-driven fluid retention around nerves, and raise them with your clinician if they appear.

   The science

Fluid retention (swelling, joint pain, carpal tunnel) is the most common GH-related effect and eases with dose reduction or stopping. Glucose effects matter too, and FDA says it has identified serious adverse events with CJC-1295, including increased heart rate and systemic vasodilatory reactions. IGF-1 monitoring is advisable at 8+ weeks to ensure levels remain within a safe range.

   ### What CJC-1295 DAC is built on

CJC-1295 has phase 1 data showing sustained GH and IGF-1 elevation; its phase 2 trial was stopped in 2006. Developed by ConjuChem, the DAC version is well characterized pharmacologically, and the weekly convenience is real. The community generally prefers the no-DAC variant for more pulse-like dosing.

   The science

Teichman et al. (2006), two phase 1 trials in healthy adults: single ascending doses raised mean GH 2- to 10-fold for 6 days or more, and IGF-1 rose 1.5- to 3-fold for 9–11 days (up to 28 days with repeat doses). GH pulses stayed intact while baseline GH rose (Ionescu 2006). The phase 2 in HIV-associated abdominal fat was stopped in 2006 after a participant death judged unrelated, so no patient trial was completed.
